Breaking the Silence
~~Ava Sophia~~ Previous Chapters:
I was lying there waiting for about the equal of my death sentence. “Ava, dear”, my mom starts, “Some physical and mental damage has been done.” My thoughts raced for the worst. Was I unable to walk? Was I unable to do high school math or English? The first words escaped my mouth without my consent, “What kind of problems am I going to have?”
A huge silence had fallen upon the group; no one wanted to break the news to me. In fact, had I been in the same position as they were, I don’t think I would have wanted to speak either. Finally I broke the silence, “Please tell me or I will walk right up to one of the doctors and ask them myself.” A certain kind of startle flew right into everyone’s eyes. “Well what will it be?” I asked. “Ava, you can’t get up right now: they planning to operate on your leg. Part of the bone has been shattered."
