This is a page about how to help the environment. The Earth is our home, and we need to live here. If we don’t take care of our home, then we won’t survive.
Each month, there will be a new idea on what you can do to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
This month has things you can do around Halloween. We usually waste bags for trick-or-treating and other materials for costumes and decorations. Here are some tips on how to be kind to the environment and still have fun on Halloween.

Reduce the amount of bags being wasted by using a container you already own for trick-or-treating. You can use a basket or a container that you have lying around in your house.
Reuse trash such as plastic/paper bags, cardboard boxes, and old clothes to make costumes or decorations.
Some costume ideas are a die (or a pair of dice with a friend), a car, or a phone/IPod. Some decorations might be a ghost, a pumpkin man, or a spider.
This web site has some instructions on making some of these things:
Recycle your carved pumpkins after the holiday. You can compost them, along with other vegetables, fruits, grass clippings, and leaves!
