Q.  What do you think is the most unique free offering for elementary school age children?

A.  LakeFest weekend.

KidzPost Info:
The LakeFest weekend takes place on June 10, 11 and 12 at the Lakefront and includes free arts and crafts, performances and workshops.
Q.   If you were a kid and could do three things, what would you pick?

A.   WiseFool New Mexico, MarchFourth Marching Band (one of the parades - Friday at 5:00 pm, Saturday at 4:00 pm, or Sunday at 12:50 pm), KidzArt, and the WiseFool workshop. All free.

KidzPost Info:
Kids, you can check out what these activities are by going on the Festival of the Arts website at:    www.columbiafestival.com .  Or for a complete overview of activities you can click on the 2011 Schedule and then the Web Brochure.
Q.  What might be a once in lifetime experience?

A.   In my opinion, the WiseFool workshop.

KidzPost Info:
WiseFool New Mexico is a troupe of actors and acrobats from, you guessed it, New Mexico!  On their website they say their mission is to “…ignite imagination, build community, and promote social justice through performances and hands on experiences in the arts of circus, puppetry and theatre.”  You can check out a short video clip of one of their performances on the Festival of the Arts website under “Videos.”

Hi Kids:

Are you tired of school?  Would you like to kick off your summer with free, fun and fabulous activities?  It’s as close as the Lakefront and runs June 10 through June 25.

So what are we talking about?

We are talking about the 24th annual Columbia Festival of the Arts.

As you may know the Festival of the Arts is a big multi- event extravaganza held in downtown Columbia in June every year, where the whole town is invited to explore new adventures and performances.

To find out what will be available this year, check out the interview below, courtesy of Mary Ann Knab from Epoch 3 Marketing, LLC.
