Riddle by Rosa
Mr. Chicken decided to travel the world by train to see what it is like in other countries.  He started in Hamburg, Germany.  The train’s next stop was Lyon, France which was 585.5 miles away.  When the doors opened in Lyon to let passengers in, Mr. Chicken ran into someone he knew and chatted for two minutes or so.  By then, the doors were already shut and the conductor said that they were traveling to Rome, Italy and that the distance between Lyon, France and Rome, Italy was 463.61 miles.  When they arrived in Rome, Mr. Chicken walked out but lost his balance and fell.  The train attendant helped him up and led him back into the train.  Then Mr. Chicken fainted.  When he woke up, the train conductor had just announced that they had already traveled 54.14 miles and they had 420.14 miles left on their route to Vienna, Austria.  Mr. Chicken was exhausted from the long journey so he took a nap on the remaining 54.14 miles of the trip to Vienna.  When Mr. Chicken woke up, he was lying in his own bed in his own house.  “It was just a nightmare!”, he exclaimed and dozed off again.
